POSITION OVERVIEW


We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team. This role involves managing the full woodworking process, including reviewing and interpreting shop drawings and blueprints, preparing and operating woodworking machinery and tools, and crafting high-end custom cabinetry.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS


  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in high-end custom cabinetry (kitchens, libraries, bathrooms, built-ins) required
  • Proficiency in working with solid wood, veneers (natural, engineered, exotic), laminates, and similar materials
  • Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
  • Skilled in the use of cutting tools and woodworking machinery
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to precision
  • Experience with veneer work (cutting, sawing, pressing, custom layups) is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Design Drafter and Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY


At New Style Cabinets, our drafting and project management team plays a key role in bringing custom designs to life. This role involves managing custom cabinetry and millwork projects from design through production, ensuring accuracy in AutoCAD shop drawings, coordinating with clients and the production team, and overseeing project timelines for smooth execution. We work closely with clients, production, and installation teams to problem-solve, streamline workflows, and ensure precision in every detail. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES


Design & Drafting

  • Develop detailed and accurate shop drawings for custom millwork and cabinetry using AutoCAD.
  • Interpret and translate architectural drawings, hand sketches, and design concepts into manufacturable shop drawings.
  • Ensure all drawings and revisions are completed on time and aligned with project specifications.
  • Review construction plans and specifications to ensure proper integration of cabinetry and millwork.
  • Provide technical guidance to the production team to ensure design intent and functionality are maintained.

Project Management

  • Oversee multiple custom millwork and cabinetry projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between clients, architects, designers, and the production team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project details.
  • Track project progress and maintain an organized system for CAD drawings and project documentation.
  • Identify and resolve potential production or design issues to prevent delays and costly mistakes.
  • Conduct and oversee site visits and measurements to ensure precision in design and fabrication.
  • Collaborate closely with the production team to address technical challenges and ensure quality craftsmanship.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS


  • 3+ years of experience using AutoCAD to create shop drawings for millwork or cabinetry.
  • 2+ years of experience in custom cabinetry or millwork project management (residential or commercial).
  • Strong knowledge of cabinet construction, materials, finishes, and architectural millwork hardware.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and written specifications.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for project documentation and communication.

CNC Programmer and Drafting Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY


We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Drafting Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in bridging the gap between design and production, ensuring that every project moves seamlessly from concept to fabrication. You will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings and CNC programs from 2D shop drawings, ensuring precise material assignments and machining processes using Microvellum, Alphacam, or similar software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural millwork, a deep understanding of materials and machining, and the ability to optimize production processes for maximum precision and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES


  • Analyze design drawings to determine the appropriate starting materials and modifications required for custom products.
  • Assign correct materials, thicknesses, board sizes, and grain patterns to ensure accuracy and quality in production.
  • Develop and optimize CNC programs to ensure efficient machining and minimal material waste.
  • Collaborate closely with the production team to address and resolve technical issues promptly, preventing production delays.
  • Maintain organized records of drawings, programs, and material specifications for seamless workflow.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS


  • 3+ years of experience in drafting and programming using AutoCAD, Microvellum, Alphacam, or similar software.
  • 5+ years of experience in the architectural millwork industry.
